Disney's newest 'Beauty and the Beast' hit cinemas last month and I think we can all agree that Emma Watson starring as Belle looks absolutely stunning. There's just something about a natural fresh face make up thats so gorgeous and timeless. So I'd thought that I'd recreate the look for just an everyday hair and make up. So simple for just enhancing your natural features.
Face
First of all, of course, primer! It is ESSENTIAL to prep your face for all the wonderful make up that you're about to endeavour into. The Benefit Porefessional Matte rescue is great for your make up to last all day so thats what I am using.
Now next on the agenda, foundation. Obviously, you may not want to use foundation and that cool, but if you do want to venture in these realms, I reccomend the L'oreal Nude Magique cushion foundation because its light coverage with quite a dewy finish which all helps that glowing natural look. I love this foundation ( just look at the packaging!) and I'd saythat this is one of the best drugstore foundations out there right now. I like to buff this in with my beauty blender to keep the coverage light.
Time for concealer- the Maybelline Age Rewind eye concealer has been quite hyped about in the beauty world and I am happy to say that it has not failed to live up to my standards this is good coverage for any imperfetions that you may have and great for attacking those under eyes that we all have from watching Netflix to the early hours of the morning (and yes I know you do.) Again just buff this in with a beauty sponge and you're all good.:)
To keep this looking natural, I'm using the matte powders for contour. The Revolution Golden Sugar 2 blush pallete has some great shades for any kind of look and I am using the the colours on the far right of the pallette to contour my face. If the lighter shade on the bottom is too light, use the darker powder on top which is what I did. That one has a little sparkly but honestly, when you are wearing it, it isn't noticable. Use an angled brush to define your cheeks and around you temples.
To spice up the look a little more, using the champagne colour highlight would look great just on the top of the cheekbones with a fan brush and the tip of you nose.
To make this face make up to last a while longer just dust a small amount of some translucent powder onto your face and voila!
Eyes
I'm using the Morphe 35N pallete for this look and can I just say that this pallette is just magical! It's an eye shadow pallette that is fully dedicated to providing matte eye shadows for you. I love the range of colours that you get is this pallete so you could literally use this pallette for anything and ot to mention how good the quality is. But getting back to the point...
I'm starting out my eyes with the lightest shade which is a very pale colour, slightly lighter than nude which makes a great base especially for a natural look. I apply this with a flat brush all over my lid.
Next apply a light brown in the crease of the eye- it is important just to build colours on the eyes as you don't want to be left with an explosion of colours swept across your eyelids and full of regret.
Add a darker shade of brown into the corners and crease of your eyes for definition.
It's important to blend like there is no tomorrow with these products as you want this look to be as natural as possible. This is the brush shape that I used to blend all of my eye shadows.
Feeling extra bold today? Make the eyes look bigger and more awake by using this GOSH nude or white eye pencil on your waterline.
Finish it off with some Benefit They're Real! mascara, which gives the lashes a massive lift and natural look.
Finishing touches
If necessary use a brow tint on the eye brows for a fuller look. I have pretty full eyebrows so I felt that this step wasn't really needed for me.
I added some of the marvellous Benefit Dandelion lip gloss to give a nice shine to my lips and we're good to go. This lip gloss is perfect to keep the lips moisturised and glossy. It is always my go to for a quick touch up during the day.
And there you go. This is a simple and fresh look for anyone inspired by Belle for a quick daytime look. To go really full out Belle, try her famous half up half down hairstyle that she is so known for and embrace your inner princess!
Hope you try this look out:)
Love Imi xox
